Make your own swing
If you want to make your own swing using your own wooden seat, you can purchase the certified rope sets which include karabiner style rapid links and special Big Swing Company "Figure Of Eights. You can also buy the certified slings which help to protect the bough of the tree from damage, and provide a simple means of attaching the rapid link.

The Big Swing Company rope sets have been specially manufactured to enable you to easily attach the rope to the bough of the tree via the karibiner, and adjust the seat height and level whilst at ground level.

Slings

Add a pair of slings to protect your bough from wear and tear, and provide an easy means of attaching the rope sets.

The slings are each rated for an operating load well in excess of the rated loading of the swing assembly.

The load on the slings is spread across the branch of the tree, minimising damage to the branch. The friction of the slings on the branch during swinging will also minimise rubbing of the branch.

Selecting the correct sling length:

2m Long Slings (£20)

The 2m long sling is suitable for smaller diameter branches (around 6inch (16cm) diameter, 20inch (50cm) circumference, and smaller.

3m Long Slings (£30)

The 3m long sling is suitable for larger diameter branches (around 6inch (16cm) diameter, 20inch (50cm) circumference, and larger.

If in doubt the 3m long slings will suit all branch sizes, although on smaller branches will have to be wrapped around several times.
